ABOUT THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LOCAL COUNCILS

Membership includes access to the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) who charge a separate fee which we incorporate into our annual invoice.  NALC provide a national voice for the 10,000 town and parish councils across England, campaigning on their behalf and providing the following services:

  • campaigning and lobbying for the issues that are important to local councils and communicating views to government and a wide range of influential organisations in the pubic, private and charity sector

  • legal, accounts and audit advice - written, telephone and digital from NALC Legal

  • publications including the good councillor guides, neighbourhood planning and a range of toolkits

  • webinars, conferences, events and training - providing local councils with an opportunity to hear from a wide range of speakers and perspectives
