Sealink Project: Understanding the Impact and Process
Join us for a dedicated workshop on the Sealink project—National Grid's proposed high-voltage undersea power cable between Suffolk and Kent. This major infrastructure initiative will increase electricity network capacity and support the integration of offshore renewable energy like wind power. The project also includes underground land cables, a new substation in Friston, and a converter station in Saxmundham.
Who Should Attend:
Clerks and officers across East Suffolk. The Sealink project has implications across the district and it is important town and parish councils and parish meetings are aware and engage.

Learn how to guide you understand how to guide your council through the current stage of the Examination process and in particular understand why it's important to register as an interested party by 23rd June 2025.

Marianne Fellowes and Tim Beach who are sharing their knowledge of the process as a result of previous involvement with energy NSIPs in Suffolk.
