This session was an open discussion allowing the sharing of views, information and questions.  Topics covered were:

• Code of Conduct (COC) and Standards - SALC has commissioned Hoey & Ainscough, National COC specialists, to create six facts sheets to support councils - the first two fact sheets have been published: Apologies for Absence and Disqualification and Declarations of Interest - these have been shared with your clerk

• Suffolk Roads Safety 20's campaign - 80 councils in Suffolk have now signed up

• LGR including the creation of a new Ipswich Town Council as detailed in business plans submitted.

• NSIPs and new role at SALC - link to news item.

• New SALC HR Support Service in advance of email to councils at the end of March and discussion around reason for this new offer.

• Internal audit - highlighting new Assertion 10.

A future super-forum is likely to be set in the future for June once the decision on LGR has been announced.
